Ramus House remodel and addition

Boulder, CO

The living room and office addition created a link between the house and an outbuilding.  Its butterfly roof was a passive solar strategy using south-facing clearstory windows to bring direct solar gain into the living room and thereby store the thermal energy in the thermal mass of the polished concrete floor.  The outbuilding became the new master bedroom suite, and the remodeled kitchen was opened up to a dining area and sunken living room.
